Call for Presenters
Expressions of interest close 15th September
Palliative Care Tasmania is pleased to invite interested individuals or organisations to submit an Expression of Interest to present at the 2022 Tasmanian Palliative Care Conference, to be held at Wrest Point, Hobart on 17 and 18 November 2022.
High quality, accessible and responsive palliative care and end of life care relies on both formal and informal care networks to work together.
The two-day Conference will feature expert speakers, quality engagement, specialist content and interactive sessions and gain valuable insights focusing on innovative clinical developments, best practice, education and research.
The 2022 Tasmanian Palliative Care Conference brings together leading minds and on the ground expertise to exchange and share experiences, and has been designed for palliative care and community care professionals and those that want to contribute to driving change for the benefit of Tasmanians living with a life limiting illness. The conference will be strategic, practical and forward thinking.
Submissions are being sought from presenters looking to deliver a 30-minute oral presentation either in-person or via a virtual platform including 5 minutes question time.
Oral presentations will run in the conference program as a concurrent session and will compliment Keynote and Invited speakers.
EOI submission requirements
Palliative Care Tasmania invites interested individuals to submit an EOI to present. The Conference streams topics will relate to the Conference theme of Quality of Life, and may include but are not limited to the following sub-themes:
Quality of Life in:
- Best practice
- Education & training
- In community
- In practice
- Innovation & research
- Your story
Interested speakers are welcome to propose other topics that will benefit delegates, providing it falls under the overall Quality of Life theme.

How to submit
- An Expressions of interest must be submitted using the online EOI form, or the hardcopy EOI template and emailing to naomi@eventsphere.com.au
- Presentation submissions must be prepared in accordance with the presentation submission requirements and answer all form questions including:
- presenter/s contact details including title, first name, last name, organisation, position, email and contact number
- presenter/s biography (up to 150 words. If there is more than one presenter please keep combined biographies to 150 words)
- presentation title (up to 15 words)
- presentation sub-theme
- presentation outline (up to 350 words)
- If presenters are submitting more than one presentation, each presentation must be submitted separately.
- Where a presentation submission has more than one presenter, please ensure that all presenters have agreed to the presentation submission and terms and conditions.
- The submitting presenter must check the ‘acknowledgement of terms and conditions’ box when submitting.
- Presentation submissions should be checked for clarity, spelling and grammar.
- Presentation submissions will not be accepted after the closing date.
